Each year in January, tens of thousands of transportation professionals travel from all over the world to attend the annual meeting of the Transportation Research Board in Washington D.C.
With so many transportation policy-makers, scientists and practitioners in one place, the event offers a prime opportunity for WAPA to advocate for Wisconsin’s interests, showcase our state’s leadership to a national audience, and represent our industry as pavement-related decisions and discussions take place.
This year, WAPA has a full schedule that includes several committee meetings, where we’ll help advance and shape the issues that are important to Wisconsin’s asphalt industry; informational sessions, where we’ll learn about cutting-edge technologies and practices that can benefit us here at home; and a variety of meetings with industry leaders to build relationships and further the interests of our members.
